What we work on
Environmental education and community awareness
Building environmental clubs in schools and running awareness campaigns with chiefs, youth and residents.
Environmental protection that holds depends on people understanding what is at stake where they live. This is the strand the rest of the work is built on.
ACEPS works through the institutions communities already have — schools, traditional authorities, youth and women’s groups — rather than around them. Pupils trained as environmental ambassadors carry the work back into their own households, and campaigns run with chiefs and opinion leaders reach the people who make decisions about land.
